A good way to begin thinking about a complex research question is to first consider:
What kinds of scholars might be asking similar questions?
Think about the different majors/courses/programs of study offered here at Augustana. These majors align with different "disciplines," or branches/types of academic knowledge. Conveniently, these disciplines also align with the databases in the Tredway Library, so by thinking about which scholars are thinking about your question, you can also figure out which databases might be good sources of scholarly articles for your research.

On the library homepage, click on “Research Support,” then “Research Guides.” You’ll see all the options for subjects/disciplines. Thinking about which scholars in which disciplines might also be thinking about your ideas (i.e., which subject headings were useful), choose an option here to explore further.
