HIST 114: Medieval Europe (Dr. Safstrom)

Welcome!

Welcome!  You've reached the HIST 114: Medieval Europe (Dr. Safstrom) course guide dedicated to finding library resources in your subject area. This guide will provide you with resources and strategies to:

  • Find at least (3) primary and (3) secondary of (8) total research articles in support of your research essay and presentation assignments.
  • Create citations in Chicago style.

If you feel like you need some additional help while working on assignments for this class, you can reach out to the Scandinavian Studies librarian, Garrett Traylor (garrettntraylor@augustana.edu), or the History librarian, Kaitlyn Goss-Peirce (kaitlyngoss-peirce@augustana.edu). They are happy to help via email or set up a research consultation; appointments are typically 30 minutes long, and take place either in the librarian's office or virtually. More of their contact information can be found in the boxes to the left.

Interlibrary Loan

For materials that we do not have available in full text, remember that the library has an Interlibrary Loan service which allows you to request materials from anywhere in the world. Our Interlibrary Loan service at Tredway Library is one of the fastest in the world, but remember to make requests well ahead of time, especially in J-Term.
