Augustana/I-Share

Create an I-Share account (which includes our catalog along with many other academic and research libraries in Illinois) to search for, request, and renew books online.

To create an I-Share account, follow this short tutorial video. If you have any issues creating an account (such as an error about your information not matching), please contact the Circulation Department. If you want to request or renew books, access the catalog here or from the library homepage and log in with the link at the top of the page.

Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)

Create an ILLiad account to request items through WorldCat that aren't available through the Augustana catalog or I-Share, or to request articles or chapters that we do not have access to through our databases.

You can log into or sign up for ILLiad here (or by clicking the "Interlibrary Loan" link on the library homepage). You can then request items through WorldCat or by filling out the request form within your ILLiad account.

Augustana Materials

Books in the Augustana 1st or 3rd floor stacks: 6-week loan period (5 renewals allowed)

Videos, Maps, and Puzzles: 2-week loan period (5 renewals allowed)

Leisure Reading Books: 4-week loan period (1 renewal allowed)

Leisure Reading DVDs: 3-day loan period (1 renewal allowed); $5/day fine; $100 lost/replacement fine

I-Share Materials

Faculty and Staff are allowed 6 renewals of I-Share materials, as long as the item is not recalled or lost. Faculty and Staff will be blocked from any further I-Share request, checkout, or renewal transactions when he/she reaches or exceeds any one of these blocking thresholds:

• $200 total I-Share fines & fees
• 25 I-Share items overdue
• 1 I-Share item recalled and overdue
• 3 I-Share items lost
• 10 claims returned on I-Share items
• 10 I-Share items self-shelved
