Getting Started

How-To Tutorials

We offer several online tutorials and how-to guides for help with using library spaces and research tools. The following three tutorials are especially helpful in getting started with the research process. If you are completing a tutorial for an assignment, please do not forget to download your completion certificate at the end of the tutorial!

Other Research Guides

It will likely be helpful for you to visit our research guide dedicated to the 2023 Augie Reads book, Just Mercy. This research guide offers a tailored starting point for finding research and background resources about Just Mercy and Bryan Stevenson. You may also want to visit the general FYI research guide created by Kaitlyn Goss-Peirce, which offers information, support, and resources for research and information literacy skills that are critical in FYI and beyond.

Additionally, depending on your research topic or question, other research guides created by the Augustana librarians may be helpful for finding subject-specific research tools and advice. To access the full list of research guides grouped by subject, you can either navigate to the library homepage and click the "Research Guides" button (yellow circle with a magnifying glass image) or you can follow this link here.

  • View full search results (some databases only show results when you're signed in)
  • Request items from I-Share

Sign in locationTo sign in, you simply need to use your Augustana network ID and password. When you are on your computer, you can locate the sign in option in the upper right-hand corner. You may also click on the "Menu" option, and then click on "Library Card."
