Wall Street Journal

Thanks to the generosity of several alumni donors, Augustana's students, faculty, and staff have access to the current Wall Street Journal. The subscription comes with a variety of resources specially tailored to higher education. 

Access the Wall Street Journal

To begin using the Wall Street Journal, you will need to activate your account at the link below. First you will be prompted to login using your Augustana email address and password. Then, you will create your own WSJ account using your Augustana email address and a new, unique password. Activate your account here:

You only need to visit the activation page once. After completing your initial registration, you will be able to access the Wall Street Journal by going directly to their website (https://www.wsj.com) and logging in with your Augustana email address and the new password you created.


Once your account is activated, you will be able to access the Wall Street Journal through the website and the mobile app. To use the app, download it on your mobile device and login using your Augustana email address and the WSJ password you created when you registered.

For Students

WSJ for Students has a variety of features, all included in your Augustana-sponsored access. Examples:

  • Future View - As a college student, you are invited to "share your opinion on culture, politics and global affairs for the chance to be published in the WSJ Opinion section."
  • WSJ Jobs and WSJ Money - Visit these Q & A fora for advice on career- and finance-related questions.

For Faculty

WSJ for Instructors features teaching tools to help you integrate the Journal into your courses. Examples:

  • Assessment Tool - "Test your students’ comprehension and awareness of current events through online quizzes on WSJ articles." Quizzes are customizable.
  • Weekly Review - "Curated by professors for professors, each Weekly Review highlights three of the week’s top articles for your selected discipline. Each article is accompanied by 3–5 questions to aid with assignments, quizzes and more."
  • WSJ Seminar Library - "A library of WSJ events, workshops, toolkits, and more, created specifically for instructors."
