A guide to resources to support research in classes offered by the Psychology Department, or for any student whose research topic or interest involves the field of psychology.

Articles and Databases

Psychologists rely heavily on articles published in scholarly (i.e., academic, or peer-reviewed) journals when conducting their research. PsycINFO is our premier source for scholarly articles in the field of psychology.

If an article doesn't have a full-text link in the database, it doesn't mean you can't access the article! Follow these steps to locate the full-text of an article.

  1. The database result might have a link to PDF or HTML right in there - if so, just click on it!
  2. If you don't see a full-text link, visit the library's Journal, Magazine, & Newspaper Title Search to look up the title of the publication (not the title of the article!) to see if we have access to the issue of the publication in which the article appears.
  3. If Augustana doesn't own the issue you need, request it through Interlibrary Loan.
