We do not currently hold any archival collections that have been cataloged and identified as created by members of Swedish minority populations. This can be difficult to determine in retrospect, as many immigrants who came to the United States hid their heritage to avoid intersecting discrimination both as Scandinavians and as a minority group within Scandinavians. However, the Swenson Center has made it part of its collecting mission to seek out and archive materials written by underrepresented groups such as women, ethnic minorities, and working-class people.
