Resources at Augustana College

You can search for Tredway Library resources using ALiCat, the default search on the homepage of the library's website. These are the results that are immediately available to you here at Augustana College.

Search for books and videos:

To renew Augustana or I-Share books, click on Advanced Search and then log into your library account.

Requesting Resources through Interlibrary Loan

If you are unable to locate resources for your research from either ALiCat or I-Share, you also have the option to request items through interlibrary loan (ILL). ILL uses WorldCat to search for library holdings across the world, most of which we have the ability to request for you and have delivered to the college. To access WorldCat, go to the library's homepage and click the link located below the search bar. It will present you with a search box much like what ALiCat and I-Share use.
Note: ILL requires you to set up a free account in ILLiad in order to request materials.

There are three ways to request materials from other libraries:

  • Use the request form.
  • Place hold directly from I-SHARE to borrow materials from Illinois academic libraries.
  • Place a request from WorldCat to borrow materials from libraries around the world.

For more information about interlibrary loan, call 309-794-7585.

Statewide Resources

Augustana is also a member of I-Share, the state-wide resource sharing program between 100+ libraries across Illinois. Through this program, you can request items from any of the 100+ libraries to be delivered to you at Tredway Library's circulation desk. To search the I-Share catalog, select I-Share from the drop-down menu on the library's homepage. For more information on how to set up a free I-Share account, see the video below.
