For the disease biography, you are to use course materials, as well as primary and secondary sources from your own outside research, to learn about the history of a disease of your choosing. Specifically, you will investigate:
- historical perceptions about the cause of the disease,
- historical ideas about treatment and prevention, and
- how these perceptions and ideas changed over time.
This section of the guide contains two sub-pages:
- Find Primary Sources. Digital repositories of historical documents related to health and medicine, as well as historical medical journals, newspapers, and magazines from Augustana's collections.
- Find Secondary Sources. Databases for locating journal articles and books written by contemporary historians about your topic.
