Kinesiology

A guide for finding resources for kinesiology students at Augustana College.

If you find a very good, recent article, look at the sources it cites to further your research. You can do this by looking at the bibliography or footnotes of the article itself, but some databases will also link a list of sources cited to give you easy access. Here are some examples:

  • In Web of Science, click the number of cited references to the right of the article title in the result list or article record

  • In PubMed, go to the article record, then scroll down and click the "References" link in the right-hand menu

  • In Science Direct, go to the article record, then click "References" in the left-hand menu

  • In OneSearch, click the tiny red downwards pointing arrow (if there is one)
    • In the result list, this will be to the right of the article title
    • In the article record, find it by going down to the "Citations" heading
