Requesting Resources through Interlibrary Loan

If you are unable to locate resources for your research from either ALiCat or I-Share, you also have the option to request items through interlibrary loan (ILL). ILL uses WorldCat to search for library holdings across the world, most of which we have the ability to request for you and have delivered to the college. To access WorldCat, go to the library's homepage and click the link located below the search bar. It will present you with a search box much like what ALiCat and I-Share use.
Note: ILL requires you to set up a free account in ILLiad in order to request materials.

There are three ways to request materials from other libraries:

  • Use the request form.
  • Place hold directly from I-SHARE to borrow materials from Illinois academic libraries.
  • Place a request from WorldCat to borrow materials from libraries around the world.

For more information about interlibrary loan, call 309-794-7585.
